There are only about 2 weeks of class time left this semester.  At this point you should be gathering what energy you have left for one last push to the end. 

I am finding just the opposite is true however.  There seems to be an increase in lack of attention in class and less and less effort being put into this class. 

This is largely my fault.  I have been letting too many students get away with poor study and work habits for too long. 

There's not a lot of time to take corrective action at this point.  However, there is one series of quiz reviews (and a review before the Final Exam) coming up.  I did consider cancelling the reviews but that would punish students who are working hard in the class.   What I am going to do is require that you put in some serious time studying the material on the Quiz #4 Study Guide before coming to the review.  I will be looking for and expecting to see some evidence of this preparation at the review. 

I am not going to photocopy and handout copies of the Quiz #4 Study Guide in class.  You will have to print out a copy of the online version for yourself.  That is one of the things I will be looking for at the review.  If I find you that have come to the review without a copy of the study guide and if it looks like you haven't done any preliminary review of the material on the study guide, there is a very good chance that you will be asked to leave the review.
