Assignment #1:

Part 1: Find a data-oriented website in the atmospheric or related sciences which can be posted on the related links page.  Write a short one paragraph description of the site and types of data found on it. 

Part 2: Find a research paper in your subject area of interest that uses one or more of the statistical methods in this course.  Be prepared to briefly discuss the paper in class on the assignment due date.  Emphasize the method used and the scientific relevance of the work.  I suggest you use this to jump start the literature review for your term project.
