Your assignment is to write a haiku poem that incorporates some of what
you have learned (or already know) about the composition of the
atmosphere.
Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry. In English, a haiku poem
consists of 3 lines; the lines must contain 5, 7,
and 5 syllables.
Here's an
example I wrote (it
meets the 5 - 7 - 5 syllable requirement but is not a very good example
of true Haiku poetry).
Why am I giving you an assignment like this? Why
not? Also I
am surprised at how creative NATS 101 students often
are and am looking
forward to seeing what you come up with.
