1S1P Topic #6 - Write a story of your own

Your story may be fact or fiction.  Fictional stories may include mystery, science fiction, Buddhist Monks, romance, politics, history, just about anything.  The story must fit onto one side of one page and must be double spaced.  There must be a connection of some kind with material or a topic (topics) covered in the course this semester.  Factual stories should recount a close encounter of some kind with unusual or severe weather, an observation of interesting or unusual atmospheric or weather phenomena, or something of that nature.

Stories will be graded using the following criteria:
You will receive 3 pts for choosing this topic
Connection (how strong of a connection is there between your story and course material): 1, 2, or 3 pts
Creativity (how interesting, imaginative, or creative is your story): 1, 2, or 3 pts
Writing quality and/or choice of appropriate writing style: 1, 2, or 3 pts

For factual stories the creativity category might be replaced with an Observation/Understanding category (how detailed or complete were your observations or understanding of what you saw or experienced).
