The PGF causes stationary air at Point 1 to start to move toward
the center of the picture. The CF causes the wind to turn to the
left in the southern hemisphere. The wind ends up blowing in a
clockwise direction. That is just the opposite of what happens in
the northern hemisphere. Note that there is again a net inward
force.
