Laboratory Assignments
Latent Heat of Fusion of Ice: Group A
Percentage Oxygen Concentration in Air: Group B
These experiments were provided courtesy of Dr. Charles Weidman
Lab Groups and Due Dates
IMPORTANT NOTES
There are only approximately 30-40 lab kits per experiment, so about 60-75 students will be performing the two lab experiments at one time. Students are divided in groups A and B. Group A will perform the lab experiment first, followed by group B. You will have about one week to perform the lab experiment and collect necessary data after you receive your equipment.
Please check your assignment group to see when you pick up and return your lab kit.
If you have questions about the lab experiments or want to pick up or turn in equipment early, please see the TA in charge during their office hours or by appointment.
YOU MUST RETURN YOUR LAB EQUIPMENT ON TIME TO RECEIVE SUPPLEMENTARY SHEETS WHICH EXPLAIN HOW TO PERFORM THE NECESSARY CALCULATIONS AND WRITE UP YOUR RESULTS.

Written Homework Assignments
These homework assignments are given approximately every one to two weeks during the course of the semester. You must submit the document in a .doc or .pdf file to d2L before 5pm on the due date to receive credit. Handwritten scanned copies are fine, provided the document is neat and clearly legible. Only a random subset of homework questions will be graded for each assignment, but every question must be attempted in order to receive an assignment grade.
