Here are a couple of comments from the course evaluation conducted at the end of the course a few semesters ago (you will be able to do the same at the end of this semester).

As you can see some students would prefer to have a textbook for the course.  That's fair, it is good to see the material presented in another way and you will find much more information in a text than we can cover in the lecture portion of the course (that's one of the reasons I have chosen not to use a text).

If you think you might want to have a text for the class, I'd be happy to lend you one of the introductory books sitting on a file cabinet in my office.  Just let me know.
