Content
Here are some of the ideas that
you might want to address in your report. What is the El
Niño phenomenon?
Where did it gets that name? Where do El
Niño conditions
form or occur (what would meteorologists look for to detect the
beginning of an El Niño event). Where
in the US might you expect to find warmer and colder weather,
wetter and drier than normal weather during an El
Niño winter? How often do El
Niño events occur? When was the last major El
Niño event?
Writing Quality
Explain the material in your
own words - your report should be your understanding and
explanation of the material. Try to include specific
details and examples from the reading section. The
separate parts of your paper should blend together into one
seamless coherent report. Your report should
be nearly free of misspelled words and grammatical errors.
This is supposed to be an
opportunity to quickly and easily earn a few 1S1P points.
You only need to read the reference material that was assigned
and acquire a basic understanding of the topic. You
shouldn't need to consult other reference material, though it
you do, please include a citation.
