You're watching the end of the final stage in the 2007 Tour
de France,
Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen are providing the commentary.
During the last 3 weeks the riders have been racing around France.
There have been long flat stages, long mountain stages in the Alps
and Pyrenees, hot stages, cold stages, wet stages, and windy stages.
Most of the riders are happy to have survived and be arriving in Paris.
In many respects it's not unlike NATS 101 Intro. to Weather &
Climate
a real test of endurance.
Alberto Contador (Spain) won the race, an Australian, Cadel Evans,
came in second, and Levi Leipheimer, an American finished third.
Contador and Leipheimer were on the US Discovery Channel Team.
