What are land and sea breezes. What causes them
to occur? When during the day do land and sea breezes form?
What is meant by the term monsoon (the term is often
used incorrectly in Tucson to mean a thunderstorm)? What
conditions would you expect to find during the summer and winter
monsoons in Asia?
What directions do mountain and valley breezes
blow? When do they form?
What are Katabatic and Chinook winds? You
probably have heard of Santa Ana winds. What causes them to
form. Why are they often associated with catastrophic brush fires
in S. California?
