I went over to the Stevie Eller Dance Theater for an event
titled MARS and Other Stories. It centered mainly on the Pheonix Mars Lander
mission. A space vehicle is currently nearing the end of its
journey to Mars and is scheduled to touchdown on May 25! The
project leader is a scientist at the U. of A.
Please pray for a successful landing, get out any
powerful lucky charms you might have, work any magic that you can.
If the landing is successful Tucson will be at the
center of world wide attention for awhile.
The Saturday night performance did feature some dancing, that is the
main reason I went. The UA
Dance School is apparently one of the top programs in the
country. There are dancers, dance majors, in this class.
They look just
like you and me (well maybe more like you than me),
but they're not. They're in really superb physical condition:
they're strong,
flexible, they must have big lungs and a strong heart to be able to
survive one of their dance routines.
