Course Objectives:
This course is intended to be a comprehensive survey of lightning, atmospheric electricity, and related phenomena in the earth's troposphere.  Theory, applications, and state-of-the-art measurement techniques will all be discussed.  An effort will be made to tailor the choices and emphasis of topics to accomodate the interests and needs of the students.  The course should provide a foundation in atmospheric electricity that is suitable for professional employment and/or advanced study in the subject.
