At most locations on earth it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter.  You should explain why this is true in your report.  Clearly it has something to do with changes in the amount of sunlight energy arriving at the ground at different times of the year.  You should probably describe or illustrate how the orientation of the earth relative to the plane of its orbit around the sun changes during the year.  How does this changing orientation affect the intensity and amount of sunlight reaching the ground?  The online reading source has a number of embedded questions.  These are mainly for you to test your understanding of the reading material; you don't have to answer those questions in your report.
