I was watching The Voice the other night and heard a song I liked.  It turned out to be "You Know That I'm No Good" and you heard Amy Winehouse's version before class this afternoon.

I have been hearing about a group called 2Cellos for a while and finally got around to listening to some of their songs.  You heard "The Resistance" in class today.

I hadn't heard anything from the Buena Vista Social Club for a while so I found some songs on YouTube.  You heard  "Candela" before class.  "Chan Chan" and "Hasta Siempre Commandante" are also nice.

A little Cajun music from the Lost Bayou Ramblers seemed like a good way to start up a new semester.  You heard "Blue Moon Special" (recorded  during an appearing in Sweden).  I also wanted to play "Moi J'Connais Pas" (filmed at an appearance in France) but there wasn't enough time (I can't really let the music take up any actual class time).
