ATMO/ECE 489/589 - Atmospheric Electricity
Course Information for Spring 2015

Course Objectives:
This course is intended to be a comprehensive survey of lightning, atmospheric electricity, and related phenomena in the earth's troposphere.  Theory, applications, and measurement techniques will all be discussed.  An effort will be made to tailor the choices and emphasis of topics to accommodate the interests and needs of the students.  Because of the wide variety of backgrounds of the students normally enrolled in the class, the course is taught at about the level of an upper division undergraduate course in electricity & magnetism.
